The neighbours kids have been particularly cheeky this Ramadhan. We kept our powder dry throughout Puasa, tonight we unleashed our first arsenal...

..that sparkled the neighbourhood with Aidilfitri showers, and we heard whoops of joy from next door.

and Babs is back.  And she told me of her tales of Belgium and London.  The things that stuck to my mind are:

1.  Nadi's crush on Uncle Nick.

2.  No cigs for a week in Belgium.  V good.

3.  They sell Magic Mushrooms in Camden Market!!

No.  They did not sell them in markets when I was in London.  The fuckers.

Lunch Time Blogging

The husband alerted me to the US Grand Prix fiasco this morning.  I used to be quite an F1 fan (a Schumacher-Ferrari fan no less) until Michael started giving me the heebee-jeebies for acting so robotic in the pursuit of winning.

After reading this, I am appalled at the state of F1 these days.  There were room for compromises, but none happened and the fans threw bottles on the track when only 6 cars raced the US Grand Prix.  And Schumacher won (no surprises here) his first Grand Prix of the year. 

I smell something Stepford.

American Idol is on!  (*Heya Peg  )

Its been a while folks, the last time I wrote was sometime in March.  Not much has changed.  There are still lunches with Babs;  The husband and I cook up a storm...or at least I 'direct'...  Work is same old same old.

And the new?

Myuzim starts golf and is loving it.  I think the husband and I have put on weight since the wedding!  The kittens have gotten under our skin.  And I have found 'Finder's again

T.G. Its The Weekend

And it all started on Friday evening with dinner at Auntie L's.  Bab's mom is something of a force of nature.  And I mean that in a good way .  It was us and the usual suspects.  J&J, M & A and of course Babs & MatBon.  Auntie Wen joined in the evening's merriment. 

We left around 1am and only because the husband had work at 8.30 in the morning.  We have gotten used to having Willow & Xander in the bedroom with us before bed.  Spoilt lil' kittens that they are...And now, introducing, Willow & Alexander Fitzsimmons (with guest actress, Nadi)!

Woke up bright and early for a Saturday morn, getting ready for the Babes and Babies Brunch.  We went overboard with the brunch: scones, croissants, smoked salmon sandwiches, muffins galore.  Myumyum.

Ms. DJ had her "Crisp & Dip Birthday Cake" (as requested by the birthday DJ herself).  Iz thought up the dip recipe (you can find the recipe on the "Cook 'em & Eat" blog) and Myuzim created the cake. 

After brunch we had lunch with the folks and Saturday was/is spent like any other Saturday.

We have the C.S.I DVD on now and it will be an early night.  Myuzim and his mates have a Charity Mini World Cup 5 a-side Football Tournament starting at 8am esok and I am coach.  Its gonna be hot and a blast.  I hope the boys do alright...

Don't Lie To Your Mom

A young man called Peter invited his mother for dinner.  During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how handsome Peter's flat mate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two, and this only made her more curious.  Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Peter and his flat mate than met the eye.  Reading his mom's thoughts, Peter volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Simon & I are just flat mates".

About a week later, Simon came to Peter saying, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the frying pan, you don't suppose she took it do you?" "Well, I doubt it, but I'll e-mail her just to be sure," Said Peter, so he sat down and wrote:  Dear mother, I'm not saying that you "did" take the frying pan from my house, I'm not saying that you "did not" take the frying pan, but the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner. Love Peter. 

Several days later, Peter received an e-mail from his mother which read:  Dear son, I'm not saying that you "do" sleep with Simon, and I'm not saying that you "do not" sleep with Simon, but the fact remains that if he was sleeping in his own bed, he would have found the frying pan by now.  Love Mom.

Hotel California...

a place revisited after a couple of MissTinis.  The husband had a go with Jude, H & N did something stupid and Dr. S?  Well, he was the crowd.

We had steamboat this evening, al fresco...had a good time stuffing our faces and ended up entertaining the help at the very quiet RBRC poolside restaurant.

But its nice too, having had a shower, in jammies and bed, all freshly scrubbed and moisturised, waiting for the husband to come out of the shower and manja me

But before he does, here's a summary of my day:

1. Bernie's baaaaaack! Yahoo! My sheets are laundered and my fridge is clean!

2. 8 cigarettes. V. good.

3. MF building is so high-tech v. mission impossible.  Dr. A's office has an awesome view.  Well done AI.  I like.

4. Work still sucks eggs.

5. N is totally blooming with her little bump

6. Did I mention Bernie is baaaaack???
