I am currently obsessed.  Obsessed with red soles underneath gorgeous heels that is.  Which, if you really think about it, is silly for shoes because you walk in them and ruin those perfect red soles. But perfect red soles are not what you look for in Louboutins...its the fact that you are walking ON red soles that is.  Silly but makes perfect sense for a girl.

So M.  This is for you.  For you to sit in your chair and deliver judgement.

Egads, It's Been Awhile...

I was sent the Virgin Digital Quiz a few days ago by a friend who obviously realises how silent Emma and The Blog has been and thought what better way to "kickstart" the ol' blogging juices by making me do a music quiz and perhaps write about it. It's a fantastic quiz and therefore should be shared with the rest of the world who hasn't tried it (although it has been around since 2005 and I am an uninspired bloated hormonal GoodEgg who seems to have lost her blogging mojo so sue me).

But I digress.

The idea is folks, to identify 75 BAND/ARTIST NAMES contained within the picture. For example, Guns N Roses and Eagles, to name the more obvious. It was part of a promotion for Virgin Digital which allowed music geeks to "Exercise Their Music Muscle". I managed 35 and then gave up, so I found the rest of the answers here and here.

Bobby and I headed over to Jalan Muara this evening to attend Jenny & Ridha's Majlis Kesyukuran. There was a band, some singing, food & drink, cake eating, more posing and general merriment for all. Congratulations again to the Bride and Groom!

On Monday evening, the Jenny I saw was still a single unattached woman, just loving her chilli crab at the Seafood Paradise in Kiulap.

And five days later, she was mighty different, and in a good way.

Nessie & Bessie: The Chicest Orangutans In Town

After months of praying that it won't all be sold out because we were patiently waiting for the Christmas Sales that finally came, Diva D hightailed it out to visit Anya yesterday afternoon and came home with our Orangutans.

We are Borneo Isle Girls after all; we love a good discount, and we love our island's endangered species.

A friend who is lucky enough to spend a week in Paris with her other half asked whether I could think up an Experimental Travel List for a little bit of fun. I thought why not, and so I asked the husband if he had any ideas. From Page 62 of The Lonely Planet Guide To Experimental Travel, he read this out loud:

Create a stream of consciousness by following your subconscious urges, free from the censoring voice of reason. Afterwards, look back on your journey - where you went, what you did - and analyse it for psychological insights.

Riiight.

So friend, before the above leads you to wandering about rather gormless in gay paree, do opt for the 'I'm a Girl and I'm in Paris' version (list inspired after hours of online activity):

1. Seek out Sabbia Rosa and get yourself fitted by the owner herself. A self-taken photo with owner Moana Moatti would be most respected.

Easy Cop Out: Silky Filmy Materials ain't cheap so you can say No. Suggest hubby to read THIS so that he would be extra indulgent.

2. Eat a macaroon macaron and take a picture of the angels covered ceiling at Laduree. A little takeaway box for the Kittens would not go amiss.

3. Purchase some Diptyque scented candles for home.

4. Take a picture of a man dressed in bondage at the Musee de l'Erotisme.

Easy Cop-Out: None. Don't be a prude, woman.

5. Buy a pair of 37 and a half pair of Christian Louboutin strappy heels pour moi.

Have fun and don't get hurt.

My friend and fellow feline Babs, businesswoman extraordinaire, always gives great advice (although I'm terrible at following them) on how to attain financial freedom. She has savings, insurance, budgets, the works. She is a wife and a mother and runs her own business and organises major conferences with the precision of an army general. She is damn good with her money and although she cannot be on time to save herself, she is, hands down, the most financial-savvy woman I know. And before you think she must be a calculating cold-hearted biatch to be so on the ball, she is also a sweetie. Oprah is her guru.

She also moonlights as my feng-shui sifu.

Today Babs (overachiever that she is) achieved another milestone. She bought property. And free from the shackles that bind daughters to mothers and mothers to daughters, she became her own woman.
