Off To The Circus We Go!

[This afternoon I congratulated a certain someone who has received a well deserved promotion. He has also started blogging daily again, even though by golly he is a very busy man and this has made me feel slightly guilty about blogging sporadically. So here I am…shamefully digging deep.]

Willow the cat has shared our matrimonial bed ever since she came to live with us. Every morning, at around dawn, she either stares at a dead asleep Bobby in the face whilst sending him brainwaves “Waaake up waaake up and open the door for me so I can go pee” or if that doesn’t work, pat him on the nose with her paw. If that still doesn't work, she will jump on his head. She never does so to me because I think she knows I would just hide under the duvet until she goes and bother Bobby.

Anyway, Bobby normally sleeps on the right side of the bed, and I sleep on the left. Last night we switched places because I firmly believe that being in a loving marriage does not mean one should be predictable. Before we fell asleep, we had this conversation:

Bobby: I wonder if Willow will still wake me up tomorrow morning because we have switched places in bed…
Me: If she still wakes you up, we should send her to the circus!
Me (going off on a spiel): Cos then it proves that she’s a genius cat! We can send her to the circus and she can do this act where you sleep on the right and I sleep on the left and Willow will wake you up to open the door for her. And theeen, the next night we can switch places and she will still wake you up! It will prove that she will wake up whoever she damn well chooses!
Bobby (there is a reason why he is Beloved Husband): It will be a long circus act eh? But HAHAHAHA!

So this morning sometime before dawn, I groggily woke up to Bobby grumbling how we should send Willow to the circus.

I told Willow that she's going off to the circus!

And here's Willow telling me exactly what she thinks of the circus, the wise ass cat.

See I told you I was gonna dig deep.
