This article about a restaurant in Singapore called Graze that was named one of Conde Nast Traveler magazine 'Hot Tables 2007' piqued my interest today. Graze, set in a renovated colonial house in Rochester Park, is founded and owned by Singaporean entrepreneur Ms Yenn Wong. Ms Wong also owns the JIA Boutique Hotels, the first of which opened in Hong Kong in March 2004:
It helped that her father, semi-retired Singaporean businessman Danny Wong Kiam-seng, put up the $120 million to buy the scruffy 25-storey residential property on Irving Street, Causeway Bay.
Yenn Wong is the daughter of Singaporean business man Danny Wong. In a February 2006 article, daughter says generous father is building pagodas in Bhutan.
Perhaps he won't come back as a dung bettle.
Do people get what they deserve in the end? Man, I hope so...
