Public horse riding is back in Brunei. The BEQ Equestrian Centre has been in operation for about 6 months. The place looks and smells clean.
You can take riding lessons in the open air paddock (or an indoor school).
"The best thing for the inside of a man, is the outside of a horse" - Theodore Roosevelt
You say hello to a horse by blowing into its nose.
Horse riding for the public is available again at BEQ Equestrian Centre, Jerudong Park. It's a smaller operation than previously, but at least the horses look healthier, the stables smells better and there is a warm welcoming air about the place.
For beginners (members) you can expect to pay B$30 for a lunging lesson (or B$80 for 4 sessions). This is when you are taught the basics. Once you have learnt the basics, you can choose to have private lessons with a trainer at B$40 per session or B$140 for 4 sessions. There is also a senior trainer who gives private lessons at B$50 per session or B$180 for 4. The horses are trained for dressage, show-jumping or leisure riding along the beach. For young children pony riding is being offered.
