An Ode To Keanu

I thought that I would do this long overdue Ode to Keanu today, as Diva D sent me an email this afternoon regaling Keanu's cuteness in his new movie The Lakehouse.  According to Diva D, the movie is not going to win any Oscars but our Keanu emoted rather well, looking even better, although slightly podgy. 

Keanu has always been Diva D and my (Number) One.  The Diva and I bond tremendously oooh-ing and aaah-ing over Mr. Reeves - from early days, to Speed, up David Geffen, through Amanda De Cadenet, until present day.  Although I must admit that our friendship was tested when she went to Los Angeles to INTERVIEW KEANU for The Matrix and I had evil thoughts of Fedex-ing her a letter bomb all the way to LA.  You would too.  They were THIS close.

But the start for me was Paula Abdul's Rush Rush video and although Paula is comical (I say comical because you would laugh if you saw Paula acting like a prat by snogging Keanu after her boyfriend fell off a cliff! Not to mention the hideous outfits!) like so.

Keanu on the other hand looked like this.

Its a GREAT video though.

Okay phew, knees a bit weak there...

I'm not going to post Keanu's bio here, suffice to say its everywhere.  I do however, want to post this picture of Keanu's biological father Samuel Nowlins Reeves, to whom he is estranged, to prove the theory that just because your son look like a demi-god-hunk-o-pie, you don't necessarily have to.

Still, Sam Reeves sounds like he's repentant as hell and if I had Keanu's ears, I would a) lick them and b) tell him to go call his daddy.

Lastly, an Ode to Keanu is not an Ode to Keanu without staring at pictures of that homina homina face.
